The qualified industrial zone (QIZ) protocol signed recently by Egypt helps to attract foreign investments to the weaving and spinning industry in Egypt. It also increases the chances of the Egyptian export in this sector.
The weaving and spinning industry is one of the most important industries in Egypt that benefits from the QIZ. The Egyptian government seeks to modernize this industry and to increase its exports by increasing the cotton production and the number of workers in order for these exports to reach USD 5 billions by 2010.
